Neitzche's Musical

Remember the Prime Directive: Keep Your Sense of Humor

Local lawyer and musician Pat Cassidy wrote a musical (or perhaps an operetta) based on the unlikely subject matter of Friedrich Neitzche. It was performed on August 25th 2000 by a number of local actors, singers and the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra. Cassidy's title for the show was "The Good European."

While I support the idea of a locally-written show being produced in grand fashion, I thought that the title could be improved upon.

With that in mind, I came up with my top ten list of suggestions.

10.Up With Neitzche!

9. Philosopher on the Roof

8. God Is Dead-Spell

7. How to Will to Power Without Really Trying

6. Once Upon Zarathustra

5. The Sound of Existentialism

4. Joseph and the Amazing Will to Power

3. Uber-mensch of La Mancha

2. My Fair Friedrich

1. Antichrist Get Your Gun

Thanks to Pat for his creative efforts and to all the performers for supporting original drama. And to everyone else: Always support community theatre.

...and that's it.
