A Haiku.

(Gesundheit)

In murky waters
Where the mosquitoes hover
at the girth of desire

They feed on dumb trust.
Blood-sucking, carnivorous,
spread disease deceit.

The near silent buzz
of hungry insects in lust.
Echoing hums of life

Such sweltering spoils;
culled from sleeping hosts.
Unsuspecting trust.

A pin prick, a drop,
a spirit sample is pulled
and it is swallowed.

Unlearned victims
Slumber. Only to again
Be bitten and bled.
